i enjoyed using the blog, i never used blog before i found it a good way to communicate with people and read what other people had found out. i did not mind sharing my opinions and views for other people too see and read. i am not sure i would use blog myself or look for other blogs to get involved in but would do it again for the centre wherever i am.

Last session, honest!

Hi both thanks again for responding to the last post. This is the last time I'll be asking you to contribute, although if you want to continue chatting with me about anything please continue to use the blog. I'd like you both to think about how you have felt when using the blog. Do you think a blog is a good way to communicate with others? Do you feel comfortable about sharing your opinions and views on a public site? Would you use a blog yourselves now that you've had a go? Would you look for other blogs to get involved in? For example many public figures and celebrities now use blogs as a way to keep in touch with people.

the mp for neath is peter hain it was very easy to find on google. the neath constituency is situated in wales neath port talbot.the next round of surgeries are on the 6th june in pontardawe cross community centre at 6-7pm 13th june at neath 39 windsor road 6-7pm 14th june glyneath town hall 9.30-10.30am 14th june cilfrew community centre 11-12 noon 27th june at pontardawe cross community centre at 6-7pm
indiana jones film at the vue cinema in swansea is on every day for the next 7 days and the times showing are 11.45 12.45 13.20 14.00 14.45 15.35 16.20 17.00 17.45 18.30 19.15 20.00 20.45 21.30 i found this very easy to find on google i use google site to search for everything

contacting your MP and finding out what's in the cinema.

Hi both I haven't seen you for a while, I was hoping you'd log in and have a chat. This is the challenge this week. Can you both find out some information about our MP for Neath. Starting with who he or she is, where the next round of surgeries are being held and where the constituency office is.

Second part of the challenge, is to find out what time the Indiana Jones movie is on in the new VUE cinema in Swansea and what days.

there are no dentists in neath taking on nhs patients, services i can expect from my gp is availability of home visits and surgery times. the information was quite easy to find and i have never used this website before.

Finding out about the NHS website

Hi both thanks for writing about what you use the internet for, I sometimes use it for shopping but I've yet to try out a social networking site, I'm afraid I'll bump inot my sons and find out stuff that I don't want to know.

If you don't mind I'd like you to try out a task on the internet for me this week, don't worry there are no right or wrong answers, I would just like to find out out how you feel about the NHS Direct website.

Can you please log on to www.nhsdirect.wales.nhs.uk and try and find out

1. what dentists are taking new patients in Neath.
2. find out what services you can expect from your GP

Can you then tell me how easy the information was to find.
Did you find dentists in the area?
How easy it was to find out about the GP service.
Have either of you used this website before?

i use the computer to do shopping, looking up information, i do use msn and yahoo too talk to my mates. and online banking

I use the internet every week for grocery shopping, have used it for clothes shopping, craft shopping e.g. mosaic and card materials and ideas.

I have been using the internet for a few years now, and i found it particulaly helpfull in university.I use the internet alot in work with checking my emails, and useing google alot when needed to search for things which are related to a piece of work i am doing at the time, in the evenings i use it alot to access my facebook and msn accounts.

Hi, Im Debbie and I am 40 years old. I have been using the internet for many years now - originally through work but now at home too. I access the internet to check my on line banking, emails and facebook applications nearly every day - but also use it for searching for things like cheap car insurance, flight prices and times, train times, directory enquiries, to find out about organisations and community activities, and much much more depending on what information i require at the time. I also blog about things in work that i have been involved with and link to other peoples blogs. I think the internet is brilliant and i would be lost without it.

Introducing myself

Hi I'm Lesley, I'm currently studying on the MA in Lifelong Learning at Univeristy of Swansea's Dept of Adult Continuing Education. This is my final year and I have to carry out a research project of my choice. I am really interested in new technology and in particular whether having access to the internet is really useful to us and makes our lives better.
